The applications are in, and team training has begun.
At our first training session, something was abundantly evident.
God has designed our team.
We have a mix of backgrounds, ages and personalities.
We have members who have been on five mission trips,
and others who are taking this step for the first time.
At our first meeting, we went deep quickly,
moving beyond the surface to share our
fears and hopes for the experience.
After a short time, the team was able to share with each other
what we thought each person brought to the team.
We prayed. We got to know each other (by playing with Play-Doh!),
assigned accountability partners,
turned in passports, and completed lots of paperwork.
God is up to something,
and it is going to be big!
